Job Summary: Reporting to Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance activities, scheduling recurring PM tasks, generating purchase requisitions, materials procurement, and contractor management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Organize and schedule routine frequency PMs and other activities in cooperation with affected departments.
- Assist in planning shutdown activities.
- Develop and provide work scope and details as required on a per task basis.
- Initiate safe work instructions, and revise instructions as needed.
- Work collaboratively with EHS on permit-required maintenance activities to ensure compliance.
- Generate and process materials, tools, components, contractor service, and vendor-managed inventory purchase requisitions.
- Monitor contractor activities as required.
- Research component details for appropriate technology improvements.
- Monitor and check the compressed air system.
- Assist with maintenance repairs when necessary to cover resource shortage issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate with others.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, maintenance safety protocols, and maintenance equipment is required.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form; and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Maintenance Technician or Planner within a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
Time will be spent in an office environment primarly using computers, phones, and photocopiers and other office equipment but working on production floor may be needed to accomplish some responsibilities.
