General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions in the facility including materials management, quality, human resources, facilities, engineering and accounting for Mobex Global. In this role, the Vice President will monitor and lead a group of individuals to execute long-range business goals, revenue strategies, operational plans and related business policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manage the plant operations to continuously improve Key Performance Indicators such as Safety, Quality, EBDITA, and Scrap.
  2. Report on planning, directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and forecasting as needed to achieve budgets and cost of sales.
  3. Review production costs and product quality and drive resolution of any issues.
  4. Modify production and inventory control programs optimize profit.
  5. Responsible for production goals, quality control and efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
  6. Conduct plant meetings.
  7. Review and approve capital projects.
  8. Provide direction, development, and leadership to direct reports.
  9. Conduct performance reviews on direct reports.
  10. All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This job requires supervision and oversight over all employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time, exempt position. General days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and core hours of work are between 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.   This is a professional level position that allows for flexibility in scheduling. It is anticipated that some non-core work scheduling will exist to ensure completion of essential functions.

TRAVEL:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
